The Journal of Emerging Markets Financial and Economic Research (JEMFER) was established in 2026 by Emerging Academic Press. It was founded as an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to financial and economic research concerning emerging and developing markets.

JEMFER publishes in English on a quarterly basis and uses double-anonymous peer review. The journal has not previously been published under another title.
