About the Journal

The Journal of Emerging Markets Financial and Economic Research (JEMFER) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Emerging Academic Press.

JEMFER publishes original research and review articles addressing financial and economic issues in emerging and developing markets. Areas of interest include financial markets and institutions, corporate finance, banking, fintech, international finance, monetary and fiscal policy, development economics, international trade and investment, sustainability, governance, and interdisciplinary research connecting economics and finance with business, public policy, and society.

The journal publishes quarterly in English. Research Articles and Review Articles are evaluated through double-anonymous peer review, normally involving at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, and adherence to research integrity standards.

JEMFER provides immediate open access to its published content. Authors retain copyright, and articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). The journal does not currently charge submission fees or article processing charges.

The journal’s editorial policies are informed by internationally recognized principles of publication ethics and research integrity. JEMFER welcomes methodologically diverse research and is committed to editorial independence, transparency, constructive peer review, and the broad dissemination of high-quality scholarship.
